Aims & Scope
Allergy and Clinical Immunology (ISSN 2995-8296) is a peer-reviewed, open-access journal from Directive Publications devoted to the science and practice of allergy, asthma, and clinical immunology. It bridges laboratory immunology, translational science, and clinical care for allergists, immunologists, pulmonologists, dermatologists, pediatricians, and basic researchers worldwide.
We welcome original research, systematic reviews, meta-analyses, clinical trials, case reports, and editorials across asthma and allergic rhinitis, food allergy and anaphylaxis, atopic dermatitis, chronic urticaria and angioedema, drug and venom hypersensitivity, and eosinophilic disorders. Particular emphasis falls on allergen-specific immunotherapy, type 2 inflammation, biologics and monoclonal antibody therapy, and immune tolerance.
In clinical immunology the journal covers immunodeficiency, inborn errors of immunity, autoimmunity, mast cell disorders, and immune dysregulation, plus mechanistic work on IgE-mediated immunity, the microbiome and exposome, epithelial barrier dysfunction, and biomarkers such as basophil activation testing and serum tryptase.
Every submission undergoes double-blind peer review. Accepted articles are open access under a CC-BY 4.0 licence with a permanent Crossref DOI, ensuring citability and discoverability through OpenAlex and Google Scholar.

Frequently Asked Questions
What topics does Allergy and Clinical Immunology publish?
The journal publishes research across asthma and allergic rhinitis, food allergy and anaphylaxis, atopic dermatitis, chronic urticaria and angioedema, drug and venom hypersensitivity, allergen-specific immunotherapy, biologics, type 2 inflammation, primary immunodeficiency, autoimmunity, mast cell disorders, and translational immune mechanisms.
Is Allergy and Clinical Immunology open access?
Yes. Every accepted article is published open access under a Creative Commons Attribution (CC-BY 4.0) licence, so readers worldwide can freely access, share, and reuse the work with attribution, and authors retain copyright.
How do I submit a manuscript to the journal?
Authors can submit original research, reviews, clinical trials, or case reports through the journal's submission page. Each manuscript undergoes double-blind peer review, and an article processing charge applies only on acceptance, with waivers available for authors who need them.
Does the journal assign DOIs and is it discoverable in Google Scholar?
Yes. Accepted articles receive a permanent Crossref DOI and are made discoverable through OpenAlex, Google Scholar, and an OAI-PMH endpoint for harvesting, supporting citation, indexing, and long-term findability.
Will the journal consider food allergy and anaphylaxis case reports?
Yes. The journal welcomes well-documented case reports and case series on food allergy, anaphylaxis, drug and venom hypersensitivity, and rare immunologic presentations, provided they offer clinical or mechanistic insight and meet ethical reporting standards.
Does the journal publish allergen immunotherapy and asthma biologics research?
Absolutely. Allergen-specific immunotherapy (sublingual and subcutaneous) and biologic or monoclonal antibody therapy for asthma, chronic rhinosinusitis, atopic dermatitis, and urticaria are core areas, including clinical trials, real-world evidence, and mechanistic studies.
Is the journal indexed in PubMed or Scopus?
The journal is a new open-access title; it is currently discoverable through Crossref, OpenAlex, Google Scholar, and OAI-PMH. Indexing in services such as DOAJ, PubMed, and Scopus is a stated goal as the journal builds a published record and meets each service's eligibility criteria.
What article types and ethical standards does the journal follow?
The journal accepts original research, systematic reviews and meta-analyses, clinical trials, case reports, and editorials, and follows COPE principles for publication ethics, including informed consent, conflict-of-interest disclosure, and transparent peer review.
