Before surgery, parents and children go through a lot of stress and anxiety. Anesthesiologists made a lot of efforts to lower anxiety before surgery and before induction. A variety of strategies were employed to shorten the induction period because an extended induction period can result in adverse psychological effects, including enuresis, eating disorders, nightmares, apathy and withdrawal, and separation anxiety during the postoperative phase.
