Recently, new approach methods (NAM) have been utilized to reduce animal experimentation and housing and care costs. The use of NAM to assess safety is paramount, underscoring the need for the method to be established for validity and reliability. NAM for inhalation toxicity is now developing to replace traditional animal inhalation toxicity tests. To align with animal inhalation toxicity studies, dosimetry and dose metrics for in vitro inhalation must be consistent with those of animal studies.

Elaeis guineensis roots have been traditionally used for the treatment reproductive troubles. This study aimed to investigate the reproductive toxicity of the aqueous extract of Elaeis guineensis’ roots. Twentyfour males and 48 females (Two subgroups of 24each) aged 9 and 12 weeks were randomly separated into 4 groups of 6 rats each.

Many traditional medical systems employ herbal drugs for the hepatoprotection. Aim of the study was designed to evaluate the hepatoprotective potential of Tanacetum parthenium leaves against paracetamol (PCM) induced hepatotoxicity in wistar rats. Group -I animals were treated with 1ml CMC for 7 days. Group II to Group IV and V animals were administered with 1g/kg PCM for 7 days.

Toxicological experiments enable researchers to test these chemicals on rats to determine their major effects. Although optimal and acceptable dose levels have been investigated, researchers continue to strive to minimize the side effects and the chemical dosage.
